Why Virginia isn't live yet

Telehealth in the United States is regulated state by state. A physician must hold an active medical license in the patient's state at the time of the visit. SwiftCareMD is intentionally expanding one state at a time so every note we sign is fully compliant and verifiable. We are actively working on Virginia licensure.

What you get when we launch in Virginia

  • One flat $34.99 fee. No insurance, no copays, no subscriptions.
  • Board-certified physician. Every note will be reviewed and signed by a board-certified MD or DO licensed in Virginia, with a verifiable NPI and license number.
  • Same-day delivery. Most notes are emailed within 4–6 hours of intake.
  • No appointment, no waiting room. Fill out a short intake form from anywhere in Virginia — store-and-forward telehealth, reviewed asynchronously.

Whether you live in Virginia Beach, Richmond and Arlington, or one of Virginia's smaller towns, you'll be the first to know once we launch. Virginia's capital is Richmond, but you'll never need to travel — the entire visit happens online once we go live.

Virginia doctors note — FAQ

Can I get a SwiftCareMD doctors note in Virginia today?

Not yet. SwiftCareMD has not yet launched in Virginia — our physicians are not currently licensed to issue notes for Virginia residents. Join the Virginia waitlist on this page and we will email you the moment we go live so you are first in line.

When will SwiftCareMD be available in Virginia?

We are actively expanding our physician network and Virginia is on our roadmap. We do not publish exact launch dates because state licensure timelines vary, but everyone on the Virginia waitlist is notified before public launch.

Why isn't SwiftCareMD available in Virginia yet?

Each U.S. state requires a physician to hold an active state-issued medical license to practice telehealth there. Our network is currently licensed in 41 states plus Washington, D.C., and we add new states as our physicians complete the licensure process. Virginia is on the list.

What are my options for a doctors note in Virginia right now?

Join the Virginia waitlist so you hear from us first. In the meantime, an in-person visit with a Virginia-licensed clinician (primary care, urgent care, or telehealth services already operating in Virginia) is the standard option for a same-day doctors note.

Need a doctors note today?

If you're in Virginia but currently outside the state — for example, traveling or temporarily living in one of the 41 states (plus D.C.) where we're already licensed — you can still get a doctors note today from the state you're physically in. See where SwiftCareMD is available.
